Key Responsibilities

• Act as a crucial liaison between families, students, and outpatient providers, ensuring clear communication and care consistency.
• Navigate interactions with insurance companies to secure pre-certifications and manage utilization for mental health services effectively.
• Participate actively in discharge planning and aftercare processes, ensuring a smooth transition for clients receiving services.
• Provide therapeutic meal support by modeling positive attitudes toward food and nutrition, aiding clients in establishing a healthy relationship with food.
• Deliver safe, empathetic, and affirming care, tailoring approaches to honor the intersecting identities of each client.
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic methodologies to address emotional distress.
• Document interventions and client progress meticulously to comply with regulatory standards and organizational protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on students and their families, addressing mental health issues that may impede academic performance and overall well-being. This population can be diverse in terms of age, cultural backgrounds, and specific mental health challenges, necessitating a culturally competent and adaptive approach in your clinical practice.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid LCSW license in the state of Florida.
• Experience working with older adults and knowledge of age-related mental health issues.
• Demonstrated strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with team members.
• A proven ability to work independently, as well as within a collaborative environment.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a school-based setting or with child and adolescent mental health populations.

Compensation and Benefits
