The ideal candidate has direct experience selling nutraceutical ingredients or other raw materials and understands how to work with manufacturers, contract manufacturers, purchasing teams, quality, regulatory, and R&D contacts. Candidates should also have working knowledge of medicinal herbs and botanical ingredients.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market share for nutraceutical ingredients.
  • Identify, target, and acquire new customers, including supplement brands, manufacturers, contract manufacturers, and distributors.

  • Coordinate and track samples, product evaluations, and customer feedback.
  • Provide product specifications, COAs, technical documentation, and supporting materials.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to support product positioning and customer requirements.
  • Support customers through vendor qualification, approval, and commercialization processes.
  • Conduct sales presentations, technical discussions, and product trainings with customers.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to effectively close business.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory updates, and competitive activity.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, customer visits, and networking events as needed.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline tracking, customer notes, and CRM updates.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of B2B sales, inside sales, or account management experience in nutraceutical ingredients, botanical extracts, food ingredients, pharmaceutical raw materials, specialty chemicals, or industrial supply.
  • Direct experience selling bulk raw materials or ingredients; experience limited to finished consumer products is not sufficient.
  • Strong knowledge of medicinal herbs, botanical extracts, dietary supplements, and ingredient applications.
  • Experience working with manufacturers, contract manufacturers, distributors, or industrial customers.
  • Ability to understand and explain technical documentation, including specifications, COAs, and quality documents.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organized with strong follow-up skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and long sales cycles.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and in the future; no visa sponsorship is available.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Nutrition, Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Familiarity working with Purchasing, R&D, Quality, and Regulatory stakeholders.
  • Existing network within the nutraceutical, food ingredient, or dietary supplement industry.
