Head of Sales (German Speaking)

Secfix

Remote

Full-time

Re-posted 2 days ago

Job description

Remote in Germany or Austria. C2 German Language is essential

Secfix was founded in Munich in 2021 to solve a problem that holds thousands of companies back: compliance. Achieving certifications like ISO 27001, SOC 2, TISAX, GDPR, and NIS2 used to mean months of manual work, expensive consultants, and painful audits.

We automate up to 90% of that effort. Our platform integrates deeply with a company's existing cloud, HR, ticketing, and identity tools to continuously collect evidence, monitor controls, and keep companies audit-ready — year-round, without the scramble.

Today, hundreds of European startups and SMBs trust Secfix. We operate as a 100% remote team and have hubs in Berlin and Munich, teams across Europe. We’ve just raised our $12M Series A and are backed by top VCs, including Alstin Capital, Octopus Ventures, Neosfer (Commerzbank), and Bayern Capital.

We're growing fast — and we need a Head of Sales to lead the charge.

About the Role

This is a pivotal hire. As Head of Sales, you will be the first dedicated sales leader at Secfix — reporting directly to the founders and taking ownership of our go-to-market execution across DACH and broader Europe. You will lead and grow our sales team (Account Executives and BDRs), define and refine our playbook, and directly contribute to pipeline and revenue yourself.

We have strong inbound demand, a proven product, and a rapidly expanding market driven by new European regulations (NIS2, DORA, EU AI Act). You will shape how we capture it.

This is a hands-on leadership role. We’re looking for someone who enjoys coaching reps, improving deal execution, and building the foundation for a scalable sales organization.

What You'll Do

You will focus on pipeline execution, deal execution, and sales team performance, working closely with the GTM lead, who owns pipeline generation and GTM strategy.

You will initially build and scale Secfix’s sales organization in DACH, and expand the motion across Europe as we grow.

  • Own new ARR and revenue targets across DACH and, over time, broader Europe
  • Convert pipeline into revenue through strong deal execution
  • Improve win rates, sales cycle efficiency, and pipeline progression
  • Define KPIs, quotas, and compensation models as we scale
  • Personally run and close key deals, especially in mid-market
  • Model best-in-class discovery, demos, negotiation, and closing for the team
  • Build and scale the DACH sales team for Secfix
  • Hire, coach, and develop Account Executives and BDRs
  • Run structured deal reviews and pipeline reviews
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and learning
  • Lead the BDR team responsible for outbound prospecting and meeting generation
  • Ensure consistent prospecting activity and outreach performance
  • Improve meeting quality and opportunity creation
  • Optimize the BDR → AE handoff and pipeline quality
Sales Process & Forecasting
  • Establish and refine our sales process and qualification framework
  • Build predictable forecasting and pipeline management
  • Maintain strong CRM discipline and pipeline visibility in HubSpot
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and clear pipeline reporting
About You

You are a hands-on sales leader and builder. You combine strong execution with the ability to develop people and create structure as a company scales.

You enjoy being close to the market — coaching deals, working with reps, and continuously improving how the team sells.

You bring:

  • 5+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, including at least 2 years in a sales leadership or player-coach role
  • Proven track record scaling B2B SaaS to €10M+ ARR in a commercial leadership role
  • Hands-on sales leader with recent, direct experience personally owning and closing deals
  • Proven track record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets
  • Experience selling to technical buyers (CTOs, IT/Security leads) in the SMB or mid-market space
  • Deep understanding of the European (especially DACH) sales landscape; existing network is a strong plus
  • Ability to build sales processes, tools, and CRM setup for a scaling team (forecasting, pipeline reviews, dashboards, etc.)
  • You thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments and take ownership without being asked
Nice-to-Have
  • Background in compliance, GRC, or adjacent SaaS verticals
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, TISAX, NIS2)
  • Experience building a sales function from early-stage through scale
  • Prior experience at a Series A–C B2B SaaS startup
What We Offer
  • Impact: Full ownership and direct access to the founders, no layers of bureaucracy
  • Remote Work: 100% remote work with a virtual office in Gather.
  • Competitive Salary: Competitive base salary + uncapped commission structure tied to team and company performance
  • Equity: Generous equity package – we’re all owners of Secfix and beneficiaries of our collective success.
  • Mentorship: We are backed by top VCs and accelerators and have direct access to world-class mentors.
  • Home office Budget: Home office budget and access to co-working spaces.
  • Holidays: 26 days holiday + local public holidays.
  • Annual Retreat: Annual retreat to build connections and inspire ideas (last year we’re headed to Costa Brava!).
  • Company Events: Company-wide events to build relationships and have some fun!
Interview Process
  • 30 min – Intro call with Talent team
  • 30 min – Intro call with GTM Lead
  • Take-home assignment
  • 90 min – Assignment review & interview with Co-Founder
  • 60 min – Final Cultural Call

Please note: we are an equal-opportunity employer and remote-only company. At this time, we can support hiring only within EU time zones. We work in sync using Gather as our virtual office. As a small fast-growing company, we believe in the need for an in-sync component of daily communication and therefore cannot support 100% asynchronous work. Read more about our Remote Culture here.
