Independent Contractor – Business Support VA/Junior to Senior Level (Remote).

20four7VA is seeking offshore independent contractors to deliver remote services to clients worldwide, with a primary focus on developed markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Business Support Virtual Assistant to support a small construction company owner with daily administrative, communication, and operational tasks. This role is ideal for a well-rounded VA who can handle a mix of responsibilities including phone support, scheduling, light marketing tasks, and general administrative work. The goal is to help streamline operations, ensure no tasks fall through the cracks, and free up the owner's time to focus on high-level business activities. The objective of each engagement is to assist the client in improving business efficiency, enhancing service delivery, or supporting operational functions through high-quality, task-specific services rendered by a qualified contractor.

Contractors will be required to provide services that align with the following client tasks:

Communication & Client Support

  • Answer and monitor inbound phone calls during scheduled hours
  • Return missed calls and follow up with clients as needed
  • Manage and organize email inbox; flag urgent messages
  • Provide professional and timely responses to client inquiries

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Assist with preparing estimates, invoices, and basic documentation
  • Update and organize client and project files
  • Support contract drafting and document updates based on client notes
  • Maintain organized records and workflows

Task & Workflow Management

  • Track assigned tasks and ensure completion within deadlines
  • Provide daily or weekly updates on completed and pending tasks
  • Help implement basic structure and accountability in daily operations
  • Assist with reporting (e.g., calls handled, estimates sent, follow-ups completed)

Light Marketing & Social Media Support

  • Schedule and post content on social media platforms
  • Assist with maintaining consistent online presence
  • Perform basic research for marketing or visibility initiatives
  • Support simple lead generation or outreach tasks if needed

General Support (Ad Hoc Tasks)

  • Assist with scheduling appointments or coordinating calendars
  • Make outbound calls for follow-ups or coordination
  • Support client notifications (e.g., schedule updates, delays, reminders)
  • Take on additional administrative tasks as business needs evolve

Each engagement is based on a defined scope of work and is governed by an independent contractor agreement. Services must be performed professionally, with adherence to any timelines, guidelines, and deliverables agreed upon in writing.

The Contractor must demonstrate proficiency in the following, depending on the Client's requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years experience as a Virtual Assistant, Admin Assistant, or Executive Assistant
  • Experience supporting service-based or construction-related businesses is a plus
  • Strong communication skills (phone, email, and written English)
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to follow instructions and complete tasks reliably
  • Comfortable handling multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment
  • Proactive and able to work with minimal supervision

APPLICATION SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE / REQUIRED TOOLS

  • Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets)
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Basic CRM or task tracking tools (preferred but not required)
  • Phone systems or call handling tools (preferred)
  • Social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn – basic usage)

Contracted Hours per Week: 10 Hours

Scheduled Working Days: Monday through Friday (unless otherwise mutually agreed in writing)

Daily Working Time: 2 hours/day within 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST (to be finalized).

Note: The Company will make reasonable efforts to align the Assigned VA's schedule with the Client's preferred hours as set forth above. However, availability may vary based on time zones, capacity, and the contracted hours set in this SOW. Any changes must be mutually agreed to in writing through a revised SOW.

Contractors will operate under a Master Services Agreement and a Statement of Work

This is not an offer of employment; contractors are not employees of 20four7VA or any client

All compensation is processed through 20four7VA according to the terms of the engagement
