Remote Experiential Marketing information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Experiential Marketing professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Experiential Marketing professional, you need expertise in event planning, brand engagement strategies, and digital marketing, often supported by a degree in marketing or communications. Familiarity with virtual event platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools is essential for executing and measuring campaigns. Strong creativity, problem-solving, and communication skills set top performers apart in developing memorable brand experiences remotely. These competencies are crucial for designing impactful virtual events that drive audience engagement and reinforce brand loyalty in a digital landscape.

How does a remote experiential marketing professional effectively collaborate with on-site teams to execute campaigns?

Remote experiential marketing professionals often use digital communication tools to stay closely connected with on-site teams, ensuring alignment on campaign goals and logistics. They typically coordinate through regular video calls, project management platforms, and real-time messaging to provide direction, troubleshoot issues, and monitor event progress. This role requires strong organizational skills and proactive communication to anticipate challenges and maintain seamless execution, even from a distance. Building trusting relationships with on-site partners is also essential for timely feedback and successful campaign delivery.

What is remote experiential marketing?

Remote experiential marketing is a strategy that creates immersive and interactive brand experiences for consumers, but it is delivered virtually rather than in-person. This can include live-streamed events, virtual reality activations, interactive webinars, and digital brand experiences that engage audiences remotely. The goal is to foster emotional connections with a brand through memorable digital experiences, overcoming the limitations of physical distance. This approach has become increasingly popular due to advances in technology and shifts toward remote engagement.

Job description

Company overview

Boombox, a division of Bovitz, Inc., is a consumer engagement agency that creates integrated solutions to connect brands with consumers. We help brands engage in authentic and meaningful ways across digital, social, and IRL landscapes. Our services include experiential, promotion, digital/social media, diversity and LGBTQ+ marketing, creative design, and strategy. We partner with a variety of the worldโ€™s most recognizable brands including Google, Austrian Airlines, Clinique, and Gilead Sciences, to name a few. We are based in New York and Los Angeles, with employees across the country.

Position Summary

The Senior Account Supervisor, Experiential Marketing leads the day-to-day management of experiential marketing programs for an integrated agency specializing in experiential, social and influencer marketing, creative, and branding. This is a remote position, with occasional travel as needed for key meetings/events. This role is ideal for an experienced experiential account lead who can manage multiple projects at once, lead client communication, oversee scopes, budgets, and timelines, and guide cross-functional teams through the development and delivery of brand activations, pop-ups, events, launches, mobile tours, sponsorship activations, immersive experiences, and integrated campaigns.

This is not a sales role. Strong industry relationships are valuable, and this person may support organic growth and pitch efforts, but the primary focus is client leadership, experiential program management, and executional excellence.ย A key differentiator for this role is experience and knowledge of the multicultural marketing space (specifically LGBTQ+, Black and Latine communities) and/or experience in HIV and healthcare marketing.

Senior Account Supervisor, Experiential Marketing Responsibilities

Client & Account Leadership

  • Serve as the senior day-to-day client lead across multiple experiential programs.
  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders across brand, experiential, marketing, partnerships, social, influencer, and creative teams.
  • Lead client meetings, status calls, planning sessions, presentations, and post-program recaps.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships and improve the quality of the work.

Experiential Program Management

  • Lead the planning and execution of experiential programs, including brand activations, pop-ups, events, tours, launches, sponsorship activations, influencer-led experiences, and immersive consumer experiences.
  • Partner with creative, production, strategy, social, and influencer teams to shape activation concepts, experience flows, engagement mechanics, and campaign extensions.
  • Bring a strong understanding of how live experiences connect to social, influencer content, PR, and broader brand storytelling

Scope, Budget & Timeline Oversight

  • Manage multiple experiential projects across different clients, workstreams, timelines, and levels of complexity.
  • Own or closely oversee scopes of work, workback schedules, budgets, staffing plans, client approvals, and change orders
  • Work with project management, production, and operations teams to ensure programs are delivered on time, on budget, and at a high standard.
  • Track project health, flag risks early, and help solve issues before they affect the client relationship or delivery
  • Maintain financial discipline around budgets, scope management, and margin awareness.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor account team members and cross-functional contributors across active experiential programs.
  • Set clear expectations, delegate effectively, and ensure team members understand priorities, deadlines, and responsibilities.
  • Coach junior and mid-level team members on client communication, project management, experiential planning, and agency best practices.
  • Act as the connective layer between clients and internal teams.
  • Bring clarity to complex projects and keep teams aligned from brief through execution.
  • Support process improvements that make experiential work more efficient, consistent, and scalable.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the connective layer between clients and internal teams.
  • Partner closely with creative, production, strategy, social/influencer, project management, and agency leadership
  • Help ensure experiential work is integrated with broader creative, social, influencer, content, and brand strategy.ย
  • Bring clarity to complex projects and keep teams aligned from brief through execution.
  • Support process improvements that make experiential work more efficient, consistent, and scalable.

Growth & Pitch Support

  • Use strong industry relationships and market awareness to strengthen client service and source smart partners.
  • Recognize opportunities for organic growth within existing client relationships.
  • Contribute to proposals, scopes, RFP responses, pitch materials, and experiential recommendations when needed.
  • Participate in new-business conversations as an experiential subject-matter contributor, without carrying a formal sales or lead-generation responsibility.
  • Contribute to business development as a secondary role, using existing networks.
  • Contribute to proposals, RFP responses, scopes, and pitch materials when experiential expertise is needed.

Candidate Requirements

  • 7โ€“12+ years of experience in experiential marketing, brand activation, event marketing, integrated marketing, or agency account management.
  • Strong background in experiential agency work, including activations, pop-ups, events, tours, launches, sponsorships, and/or immersive brand experiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Experience serving as a senior day-to-day client lead.
  • Comfortable lifting and moving common event materials (typically 25โ€“50 lbs)
  • Strong understanding of experiential strategy, creative development, production realities, and integrated campaign execution.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, timelines, scopes, staffing plans, client approvals, and change orders.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or managing account teams or cross-functional project teams.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with creative, production, strategy, social, influencer, and senior leadership teams.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and client-management skills.

  • Strong vendor, production, venue, partner, or brand-side relationships.
  • Experience mentoring account managers, coordinators, or junior producers.
