Job description

Confidential Search Solutions (CSS) is partnering with a leading national financial services and insurance organization to identify experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Attorneys located in or near Dallas, Plano, and San Antonio, Texas. This long-term contract opportunity offers the chance to join a sophisticated in-house legal team responsible for overseeing complex property damage, insurance coverage, hail and wind, and bad faith litigation matters. The organization prefers attorneys who can maintain a regular office presence in one of these markets while working in a hybrid environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of residential property damage, insurance coverage, and bad faith litigation matters.
  • Provide strategic oversight and direction to outside counsel throughout all phases of litigation.
  • Review pleadings, motions, discovery responses, expert reports, litigation assessments, and settlement recommendations.
  • Prepare and support corporate representatives for depositions, mediations, and other litigation proceedings.
  • Collaborate with claims professionals, business leaders, and legal stakeholders to develop effective litigation and resolution strategies.
  • Evaluate legal and financial risk exposure and provide recommendations regarding settlement, mediation, and trial strategy.
  • Monitor case activity, legal spend, budgets, and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting regarding litigation developments and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active attorney license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience.
  • Strong analytical, legal research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a substantial caseload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
