About This Opportunity
Ericsson is looking for a strategic and customer-focused Consulting Sales Engineer to support a select portfolio of Global Strategic Accounts based primarily in the southeastern United States. This is a highly consultative role that combines technical expertise, business knowledge, and executive engagement. Working closely with Global Strategic Account Managers, strategic partners, and customer stakeholders, the successful candidate will uncover business challenges, develop solution strategies, and create customer technology roadmaps that drive measurable business outcomes. Success in this role requires the ability to build trusted relationships across complex organizations, influence decision-makers at multiple levels, and guide customers through strategic networking and security transformation initiatives. North Carolina or South Carolina location preferred.
What you will do
  • Serve as the primary technical advisor for assigned Global Strategic Accounts
  • Partner with Global Strategic Account Managers to develop and execute account growth strategies
  • Build relationships across technical, operational, and executive stakeholders within customer organizations and with partners
  • Lead discovery workshops and strategic discussions to understand customer priorities, challenges, and business objectives
  • Develop solution architectures and technology roadmaps aligned to a customer's business goals and desired outcomes
  • Deliver executive presentations, technical demonstrations, and strategic recommendations to both technical and business audiences
  • Lead the technical strategy and execution of complex opportunities, including RFPs, RFIs, proposals, and proof-of-concept engagements
  • Collaborate with sales, product management, engineering, services, and partner teams to deliver customer success
  • Provide customer and market insights that help shape product strategy and future solution development

Skills you will bring
  • 8+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, Network Architecture, Security Architecture, or related customer-facing technical roles
  • Demonstrated success supporting Fortune 1000, multinational, or Global Strategic Accounts
  • Experience navigating complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and decision-makers
  • A track record of building relationships with senior technical and business leaders
  • Experience supporting the development of business cases, technology strategies, and multi-year transformation roadmaps
  • Experience leading virtual and cross-functional teams
  • Technical expertise in WWAN, SD-WAN, SASE, Zero Trust, and cloud-delivered security architectures
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Business acumen, strategic thinking, and strong problem-solving ability
  • Commitment to accountability, integrity, and ownership
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Telecommunications, or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud; experience with GTM partners (CSPs, channel partners, Global Systems Integrators); relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent; experience in Private Cellular Networks or Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS)/Neutral Host environments

Your Pay
The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
Variable Compensation Plan:This role includes the opportunity for sales commissions as a part of the Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Variable Compensation Plan. Actual payouts are based on performance against sales targets and the individual incentive target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules may apply.

Your Time

Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
