Job Description:

The EHR Department at HealthRIGHT 360 is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional with strong comprehension skills and an interest in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. This individual is a systems thinker who enjoys working with multiple stakeholders to translate operational and clinical requirements into effective EHR configurations and workflows. This is an excellent intermediate-level opportunity, with room to grow, for candidates interested in a career in nonprofit health IT, healthcare administration, or clinical systems support.

The EHR Configuration Analyst will support the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of EHR systems, including Welligent and Epic, in accordance with county regulations and organizational Compliance guidelines. The role will focus on making configuration changes that support program operations, regulatory requirements, quality improvement, and end-user efficiency.

Primary responsibilities include building, updating, and maintaining EHR forms, screening tools, templates, and related system components to ensure programs meet compliance standards and defined scopes of service. The analyst will also support updates to internal EHR documentation and reference materials to ensure information is accurate, current, and easily accessible to staff.

In addition, the EHR Configuration Analyst will test new and existing EHR configurations and system functionality, validate changes, and assist with troubleshooting configuration-related issues. The role requires some prior experience or exposure to EHR systems and an interest in developing deeper technical expertise in EHR configuration and support.

This position is predominantly remote, with occasional in-office work as determined by the manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Welligent EHR Configuration & Support

  • Configure, build, and maintain Welligent EHR components, including forms, assessments, screening tools, templates, and related workflows, in accordance with program requirements and Compliance standards
  • Update and maintain Welligent configuration documentation, reference materials, and internal knowledge resources
  • Test and validate Welligent configuration changes and system functionality, including regression testing following updates
  • Assist with troubleshooting Welligent configuration-related issues and provide support for post-change stabilization
  • Support Welligent-related service desk requests within assigned scope
  • Ensure Welligent configurations align with county, state, and organizational regulatory requirements
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of other Welligent system applications as needed.

Epic EHR Configuration

  • Support build and updates to Epic such as forms, navigators, templates, questionnaires, preference lists, and other configuration components
  • Learn and apply Epic configuration standards and best practices while translating defined operational or clinical requirements into system build changes
  • Participate in testing activities related to Epic configuration for system updates and enhancements
  • Help validate Epic configuration changes and identify potential issues prior to release
  • Assist with maintaining Epic configuration documentation, including build notes, workflow descriptions, and internal reference materials
  • Assist with configuration and maintenance of assigned Epic application modules under the guidance of Epic Support analysts
  • Follow established processes to ensure Epic configurations align with operational best practices, organizational policies and procedures, and Compliance standards

Documentation, Compliance & Collaboration

  • Organize and maintain EHR-related electronic documentation, including configuration references, forms, and historical records
  • Convert and manage documentation in accessible formats (e.g., PDFs) to support staff access across multiple modalities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and communicate configuration updates
  • Effectively engage with a remote team and work independently in a predominantly remote environment
  • Perform all job duties in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, organizational policies, and IT and Compliance guidelines
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 2+ years experience with EHR/EMR or CMS Systems (Welligent and/or Epic preferred)
