Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an experienced Configuration Management Analyst to join our team supporting our Plymouth, Minnesota location.

This position is expected to start as part-time and may remain part-time for an extended period. Expansion to full-time hours is possible, subject to business needs
This role is part of the Armament Systems Configuration and Data Management Team that focuses on providing tools, processes and subject matter expertise for configuration and data management activities across our programs, suppliers, and partners for all engineering programs. Analysts are key program drivers managing product configuration baselines (Functional, Allocated and Product) and releases through Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, JIRA, Bitbucket, SharePoint, and system modeling tools.
Position Description
Program Analyst are at the forefront of program strategy creating, updating, and maintaining program Configuration Management / Data Management Plans and coaching/managing programmatic alignment to Configuration Management / Data Management Plans across various program or project Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). In addition, this individual will perform program or audits and lead various Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings in coordination with the internal team as well as external customer - supporting the process of Change Notices (CN's), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Requests for Variance (RFVs) for the program. They will be the program advocate and driver supporting the generation, release, and delivery of Contract/Supplier Data Requirements Listings (CDRLs/SDRLs) to our customers helping to ensure that the delivered items meet contractual requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
This position may be filled as a level 2 or level 3 Configuration Analyst based on the candidate's education and/or years of experience.
  • Qualifications for Configuration Management Analyst (Level 2)
    • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business/project management, computer information systems, or library sciences & analytics
    • 2 years of relevant experience in Configuration Management (CM)/Data Management (DM); Or Master's degree in lieu of 2 yrs' experience

  • Qualifications for Principal Configuration Management Analyst (Level 3)
    • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business/project management, computer information systems, or library sciences & analytics
    • 5 years of related experience in Configuration Management (CM)/Data Management (DM); Or Master's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience working configuration management in a highly regulated industry
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and must have the ability to obtain a DOD security clearance to a level of Secret..
  • Experience understanding and translating contractual requirements into program planning activities
  • Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) and data management tools
  • Experience managing customer deliverables (CDRLs) and supplier deliverables (SDRLs)
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-31000 and the proper application for drawing generation and Technical Data Package (TDP) deliveries.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Engagement in 1-2 professional engineering or project management organizations
  • Experience with Siemens Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Tool Teamcenter Active Workspace (TcUA)
  • Experience with MRP System SAP S/4 HANA
  • Experience with Cameo System Modeler or Cameo Enterprise Architect
  • Experience with Agile Program Management
  • Experience in aerospace industry
  • Experience using Bitbucket, Confluence, and Jira
  • Experience with Siemens Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Tools (Teamcenter Enterprise Product Information Center (ePIC) or Teamcenter Unified Architecture)
  • Familiarity with Export Control regulations (EAR/ITAR)
  • Experience applying the CM/DM Standard of ANSI/EIA-649, as well as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Standards - Specifically ASME Y14.100, Y14.34, Y14.35, and Y14.5-2009 (or later)
  • Experience supporting and presenting at program reviews with our customers
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for part and component part number entry and revision control for manufacturing and builds at the various factory locations
  • Familiar with drafting practices and design drawing interpretation, including program contract requirements application and verification

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,400.00 - $108,600.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $134,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
