United States (Remote)

Salary Range:$125K- $150K/ year
Based on the Denver, Colorado labor market.

Location:Lakewood, CO (local/in-office) or full-time remote candidates.

Role Overview:

As aProject Engineerin theDatacentergroup, you willbe responsible forperforming engineering design and analysis under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer. You will support client projects and provide quality deliverables that are on time and within the defined budget.

Essential Responsibilities:

What you will do:

  • 50% QA / QC work:Implement the NEI Quality Assurance Plan.Checkthe work of designers, drafters, and engineers for overall quality and accuracy.

  • 20% Training:Train junior level engineers and designers in areas of physical design of electrical substations& BESS facilities.

  • 20% Writing:Write technical go-bysand training documents.Assistwith the creation and enforcement of technical standards across the department.

  • Project Engineer:Your primary responsibility will be technical leadership, short-term focus on project scope, budget, and execution, and ensuring technical quality. Consult regularly with the Team Lead on key decisions and activities.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Technical Directors and Team Leads on projects within the department.

  • Perform the review of detailed physical engineering for all aspects of electric power substations& BESS facilitiesincluding multi-disciplinary coordination.

  • Typical design products might include general arrangements, elevation views, site layout, bill of materials, equipment specifications, bus sizing for ampacity and structural requirements, grounding plan and details, and conduit plan and details.

  • Review submittals for conformance with (owner, client) specifications and design to meet all required codes.

  • Prepare hand and computer-based calculations and models for physicaldesigns.

  • Prepare a variety of documents and reports associated with projects including cost estimates, budget reports, and proposals for complex projects.

  • Manage deliverables and deadlines to ensure they aresubmittedon time for both internal QA/QC deadlines and external deadlines toclient.

  • Ensure that client requirements, specifications, and expectations arebeing met.

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to Team Members.

  • Perform occasional field inspection and construction supervision services when needed.

  • Checkthe work of designers, drafters, and engineers for overall quality and accuracy.

  • Maintain a strong understanding and comprehension of applicable Codes and Standards.

  • Attend conferences, training workshops, seminars, undergraduate, and graduate classes asappropriate foradvancement and asrequiredtomaintainquality of work.

  • Complete safety training and follow safety rules and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Education:Bachelor's in Civil or Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering Technologyfrom an accredited institution.

  • Experience:5+ years of relevant engineering or field experience.

  • Licensure:FE or PE preferred.

  • Skills:Proficiencywith AutoCAD,MathCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite. Effective written and oral communication skills. Good interpersonal skills.

Note:Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
