Position Overview

Diverse Agile Solutions (DAS) is seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer / Email Marketing Specialist to support enterprise digital marketing and customer engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, developing, executing, and optimizing email marketing campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud environments.

This role requires strong technical expertise in Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, AMPscript, HTML/CSS, and campaign analytics. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver responsive, data-driven marketing solutions that improve customer engagement and campaign performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain email marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Build and manage campaigns utilizing:
    • Email Studio
    • Journey Builder
    • Automation Studio
    • Content Builder
    • Contact Builder
    • Triggered Sends
    • Data Extensions
  • Develop responsive email templates and dynamic content using HTML, CSS, AMPscript, and JavaScript
  • Create and manage automated workflows including:
    • Data Extract
    • Filter Activities
    • Import Activities
    • Transfer File Activities
    • Refresh Group
    • SQL Query Activities
    • Wait Activities
    • Send Email Activities
  • Perform email QA testing to validate rendering, functionality, and deliverability across devices and email clients using tools such as Litmus and Return Path
  • Support audience segmentation and large-scale data management initiatives
  • Develop landing pages and microsites to support digital campaigns
  • Conduct A/B testing and multivariate testing to optimize campaign performance
  • Analyze email reporting and campaign metrics and recommend improvements for future marketing initiatives
  • Gather business requirements and provide end-user support and documentation
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, designers, and marketing teams to deliver scalable digital solutions
  • Utilize Google Analytics and reporting tools to track campaign effectiveness and user engagement

Required Qualifications

  • Experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform components including:
    • Email Studio
    • Journey Builder
    • Automation Studio
    • Content Builder
    • Contact Builder
  • Strong experience developing dynamic email content using AMPscript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience creating responsive email templates and landing pages
  • Experience with email QA testing and deliverability validation tools such as Litmus and Return Path
  • Experience with audience segmentation and large datasets
  • Experience creating user-initiated and triggered automations in Automation Studio
  • Experience supporting business users, gathering requirements, and documenting solutions
  • Experience optimizing campaigns through A/B and multivariate testing
  • Experience with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and AngularJS
  • Experience with campaign analytics and reporting
  • Google Analytics experience required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with SQL Queries and Data Extensions
  • Experience developing microsites and marketing landing pages
  • Experience working in Agile development environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Certifications

One of the following certifications is required:

  • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Consultant
    OR
  • Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist

Education

  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • UMGC or USM prior experience preferred
