Remote EHR jobs are ideal for those who have experience with healthcare information systems and seek flexible or work-from-home opportunities in the health IT field.

What is a remote EHR job?

Remote EHR (electronic health record) jobs focus on using software to manage the medical record of a patient. Jobs in this field include roles in installing and managing software, maintaining systems, and providing general technical support for companies using EHR and EMR (electronic medical record) systems to provide health care to each patient. As part of this job, you may be to help ensure the safety and security of patient information, adjust existing software to help improve the accuracy of records, or help meet federal regulatory requirements. • Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Contribute to team dynamics by participating in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing training related to cultural competency and best practices.
  • Engage with current research, integrating new findings into practice to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.
Patient Population / Client Focus

At Life Matters Counseling Center, we focus on clients from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, including immigrants and marginalized communities. This role provides you with the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of clients struggling with mental health conditions by offering tailored, culturally aware services that validate their unique identities and experiences.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
  • A strong understanding of various mental health disorders, along with evidence-based treatment approaches and cultural competence.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering individual and group therapy using inclusive and culturally responsive methods.
  • Strong crisis intervention skills and the capability to maintain composure in challenging situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating rapport-building with a diverse client base.
  • Proficiency in working with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer applications.
  • A commitment to uphold professional ethics, maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a remote counseling environment or community health clinic is preferred.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and their application within diverse populations.
  • Interest in ongoing professional development including training in cultural competency.
