Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed assessments to determine the mental health status of clients, utilizing evidence-based diagnostic techniques.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly review personalized therapy plans tailored to each client’s unique needs and circumstances.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, employing culturally responsive methods and established therapeutic modalities.
  • Foster strong therapeutic alliances with clients, equipping them with practical tools and strategies to navigate their challenges effectively.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to coordinate comprehensive care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients served at Life Matters Counseling Center encompass a wide range of needs, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, eating disorders, and more. Our focus is on creating a supportive, non-judgmental space that allows clients to express themselves and work through their issues. Counselors must be adaptable and culturally competent, able to engage with clients from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is essential.
  • Current and valid licensure in Washington State as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience in counseling or therapy, with a focus on mental health challenges.
  • Expertise in mental health disorders and proficiency in applying evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to stay composed during challenging client interactions.
  • Excellent communication abilities that foster trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure accurate documentation and effective client management.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience delivering culturally tailored services and therapies to a diverse patient population.
  • History of collaboration with healthcare providers to facilitate holistic care approaches.
  • Background in community health settings, enhancing understanding of socioeconomic factors influencing mental health.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this role ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and education. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
