Epic Cadence Analyst (Oncology Expansion) | Remote (EST)
The Select Group is seeking an experienced Epic Cadence Analyst to support a large-scale Oncology Expansion initiative for a leading healthcare organization. This role will focus on enhancing and optimizing scheduling, referral management, and patient access workflows to support increased patient volume and new oncology service offerings. The ideal candidate will combine strong Epic build expertise with the ability to collaborate closely with operational and clinical stakeholders to improve workflow efficiency, patient access, and overall scheduling operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support a major Oncology Expansion initiative by assessing, designing, and optimizing scheduling and referral workflows.
  • Configure, enhance, and maintain Epic Cadence and Prelude functionality to support operational goals.
  • Build and maintain provider templates, appointment types, scheduling rules, protocols, and decision trees.
  • Support referral management initiatives, including referral work queue configuration and optimization.
  • Perform department, provider, location, and service line build activities to support organizational growth.
  • Partner with access, operations, and clinical teams to identify workflow challenges and improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze current-state workflows and recommend solutions that improve scheduling efficiency, referral conversion, and patient access.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and workflow concerns within the Epic environment.
  • Provide ongoing production support, ticket management, testing, system maintenance, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders and end users to ensure Epic solutions align with business and clinical needs.
  • Drive workflow optimization efforts and support continuous process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications
  • Epic Cadence Certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on Epic Cadence experience.
  • Experience building and supporting scheduling workflows, provider templates, and appointment types.
  • Experience gathering requirements from operational stakeholders and translating business needs into Epic solutions.
  • Experience troubleshooting and supporting Epic Cadence within a production healthcare environment.
  • Healthcare provider, health system, or hospital experience.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and partnering with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on workflow optimization and operational improvement.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Epic Prelude and/or Grand Central experience.
