About the Role
As a Senior Facets EDI/HIPAA Gateway Consultant, you will make an impact by designing, implementing, and supporting EDI transaction processing solutions that enable healthcare organizations to exchange critical business data efficiently and securely. You will be a valued member of the Healthcare Platform Consulting team and work collaboratively with clients, business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leaders to deliver high-quality Facets EDI solutions across complex healthcare environments.
This role is ideal for a healthcare technology professional who enjoys solving integration challenges, partnering with clients, and leveraging Facets expertise to optimize EDI transaction processing and business operations.
In this role, you will:
  • Lead the implementation and support of Facets EDI transaction processing solutions utilizing the HIPAA Gateway.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements to support EDI implementation initiatives.
  • Configure transaction business rules and Facets components to ensure successful EDI transaction processing.
  • Provide consulting and subject matter expertise to clients on Facets EDI functionality, best practices, and solution design.
  • Support implementation, testing, deployment, and go-live activities for EDI projects.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize EDI transaction performance.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, design artifacts, and implementation deliverables.
  • Participate in client presentations, solution discussions, and other business development activities as needed.

What You Need to Have to Be Considered
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 8+ years of experience supporting healthcare technology or healthcare EDI solutions.
  • Hands-on experience implementing Facets EDI transaction processing using HIPAA Gateway.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare EDI and HIPAA transaction standards.
  • Experience gathering requirements and creating technical and functional documentation.
  • Experience configuring Facets transaction business rules and supporting Facets implementations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality client solutions.

These Will Help You Stand Out
  • Experience with C#, VB.NET, or other programming languages.
  • Knowledge of Facets Claims, Membership, Product Configuration, and batch processing.
  • Experience with web services configuration, integration, or development.
  • Solution design and technical architecture experience.
  • Experience delivering technical training or knowledge-transfer sessions to business and technical audiences.
  • Previous healthcare consulting or client-facing implementation experience.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $113,000 - $132,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
