Senior Systems Analyst – EDI / WebMethods


Talent Solutions Group is recruiting a Senior Systems Analyst – EDI for an established client in Lake Forest, Illinois. Hybrid 3 days per week on sight required.


This is an urgent opportunity to join a small, experienced technology team and take ownership of critical EDI operations, integrations, trading partner onboarding, mapping, testing, and troubleshooting.


The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on webMethods experience, including extensive mapping using webMethods Designer, along with experience integrating EDI solutions with SAP or another major ERP platform.


This is an excellent opportunity for an EDI professional who enjoys combining hands-on technical work with business and trading-partner interaction.

What You'll Do

  • Manage day-to-day EDI operations and ensure reliable transaction processing
  • Create and maintain EDI mappings using webMethods Designer
  • Develop, test, and support EDI integrations and transactions
  • Integrate webMethods/EDI solutions with SAP and other enterprise systems
  • Onboard new customers, trading partners, 3PLs, and carriers
  • Monitor and troubleshoot transactions across EDI, ERP, WMS, and TMS environments
  • Investigate transmission errors, failed transactions, and data mismatches
  • Support EDI standards including X12, EDIFACT, XML, AS2, and API integrations
  • Partner with IT, warehouse, customer service, logistics, and carrier teams
  • Identify opportunities to improve and modernize EDI processes
  • Ensure EDI solutions remain secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with business requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on EDI experience
  • Hands-on webMethods Integration Server experience
  • Strong EDI mapping experience using webMethods Designer
  • Experience developing, testing, and validating EDI transactions
  • Experience with trading partner configuration and onboarding
  • Experience integrating EDI with an ERP system
  • Strong knowledge of EDI standards and technologies such as X12, EDIFACT, XML, AS2, and VAN
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders
  • Must be able to work onsite in Lake Forest Tuesday through Thursday

Strongly Preferred

  • SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC integration experience
  • SAP LE/EWM
  • Blue Yonder TMS
  • Oracle, JDA, Infor, or other ERP/WMS/TMS platforms
  • API integration experience
  • Logistics, order management, warehouse, or supply chain EDI experience
  • Certified EDI Professional or similar certification


The Profile We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is more than an EDI operations or business-facing analyst.

The successful candidate needs recent, hands-on mapping experience in webMethods Designer and should be comfortable independently troubleshooting, testing, and supporting integrations.

Experience integrating webMethods with SAP is highly preferred and will allow the successful candidate to contribute quickly.


Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
