• Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients’ social, emotional, and environmental challenges, utilizing tools and methodologies appropriate to detox settings.
• Develop individualized service plans that delineate specific goals, interventions, and progress monitoring strategies tailored to each client’s unique needs.
• Provide direct counseling and support to individuals and families experiencing crises, while facilitating group therapy sessions as needed.
• Work collaboratively with clients to create personalized service plans that connect them to community resources, enhancing their pathway to recovery.
• Offer timely crisis intervention, risk assessments, and safety planning, particularly for clients facing acute challenges.
• Engage with community agencies and organizations to coordinate comprehensive care services and advocate for clients throughout their recovery process.
• Lead community outreach initiatives to raise awareness about our services and the importance of mental health support in the detox process.
• Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing staff training to ensure adherence to best practices and continuous professional development.

This position focuses primarily on individuals suffering from substance use disorders, providing critical support during the detox process. Clients often face a myriad of challenges, including mental health issues, trauma histories, and socio-economic barriers. As an LCSW at Empowerment Edge Counseling, you will be pivotal in helping clients overcome these obstacles and navigate their journey to recovery.

• An accredited Master’s degree in Social Work is required.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.
• Prior experience within a social service agency, particularly in a detox or mental health setting, is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of social and economic justice issues, community resource navigation, and trauma-informed care principles is essential.
• Strong communication skills, cultural competence, and problem-solving abilities are critical to success in this role.

• Experience conducting individual and family counseling in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms to facilitate assessments and therapy.
• Background in crisis intervention and developing safety plans for high-risk clients.
