Director of Business Development, Nurse Navigation Specialty Growth

Annual Compensation: $150,000 - $155,000 DOE

Overview/Position Summary:  

The Director of Business Development, Nurse Navigation Specialty Growth is responsible for developing, leading, and executing growth strategy for GMR’s 911 Nurse Navigation program. This role concentrates on expanding NN services and reimbursement opportunities within the marketplace. The role is expected to be a subject matter expert, creative thinker, and collaborator, working alongside colleagues to execute GMR’s growth initiatives in new markets. The successful candidate should be well versed in EMS / public safety, payer models, and population health, and able to identify and capture growth opportunities related to all three. 

As a senior individual contributor and strategic leader, the Director participates in the full lifecycle of specialized business development from market identification and opportunity design through contracting and transition to implementation. The position requires deep understanding of healthcare and EMS economics, value-based care dynamics, and long cycle B2B / B2G sales environments (18+ months). 

Essential Duties 

  • Develop and implement national growth plans for Nurse Navigation in line with GMR’s expansion strategy.

  • Use data and competitive intelligence to identify and prioritize markets.

  • Participate in all phases of business development: prospecting, relationship management, benefit design, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.

  • Manage multi-year sales cycles, collaborating with internal teams across innovation, contracting, legal, finance, compliance, and leadership.

  • Represent GMR to stakeholders and build strategic relationships with customers at all levels.

  • Engage EMS systems and stakeholders on cost containment, ED utilization, quality improvement, and care navigation.

  • Serve as a key representative at industry events.

  • Lead Nurse Navigation proposal development, including value propositioning, financial modeling, network participation, and pricing strategy.

  • Develop financial models and statements demonstrating revenue and EBITDA impact.

  • Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM pipeline management.

  • Up to 40% national travel required. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s in business, healthcare, or related field required; master’s preferred.

  • 5+ years in healthcare value-based business development with EMS systems, payers, population health, virtual care, or similar, and understanding of complex B2B/B2G sales cycles.

  • Solid understanding of EMS, 911 communications, or related operations. 

Skills 

  • Strong presentation, relationship-building, critical thinking, and communication skills.

  • Advanced financial modeling and pricing abilities, including complex pricing models.

  • Effective multitasker in fast-paced settings; strong independent and team worker.

  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM platforms.

  • Highly organized, analytical, entrepreneurial, and self-directed.
