Description:

Richmark Companies is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Real Estate Intern to support the real estate team. This internship offers hands-on exposure to acquisitions, underwriting, capital markets, and real estate investment analysis across a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate assets.


The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, financially driven, and interested in gaining practical experience in real estate investments, development, and asset evaluation. The intern will work directly with the SVP of Real Estate and assist with financial modeling, market research, and transaction analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with financial underwriting and valuation of prospective real estate acquisitions and developments
  • Build, maintain, and optimize real estate financial pro forma models in Excel
  • Support acquisition analysis including cash flow projections, return metrics, sensitivity analysis, and investment summaries
  • Research and analyze market trends, comparable properties, rental rates, and demographic data
  • Assist in evaluating potential investment opportunities and property performance
  • Prepare investment memorandums, presentations, and supporting materials for internal decision-making
  • Support due diligence efforts during acquisitions and financing transactions
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners including brokers, lenders, investors, and consultants
  • Participate in property evaluations and site visits as needed
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • Strong interest in commercial real estate investments and development
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling preferred
  • Understanding of real estate finance concepts including NOI, IRR, cap rates, leveraged returns, and discounted cash flow analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship experience in commercial real estate, investment banking, private equity, or finance
  • Experience with ARGUS, CoStar, Yardi, or other real estate software platforms is a plus
  • Familiarity with multifamily, office, industrial, retail, or mixed-use asset classes
