Job description

Parallax Studios is seeking an experienced Rhino / Revit BIM QA Lead to support a large-scale themed entertainment and experiential design project currently in schematic design.
This role will serve as the technical lead responsible for ensuring all Rhino modeling deliverables are organized, validated, and optimized for downstream Revit integration. The ideal candidate combines strong Rhino and Revit expertise with exceptional QA/QC discipline, BIM coordination experience, and the ability to collaborate with a distributed team of modelers producing complex architectural, scenic, and immersive environment assets.
This is a project-based, freelance role with the potential for continued collaboration. An estimated 15-26 weeks of remote, full-time production.
Responsibilities
Own the Rhino-to-Revit validation and quality control pipeline
Establish and enforce modeling, layer, naming, and file organization standards
Review Rhino files from multiple artists for quality, consistency, and BIM readiness
Perform ongoing Rhino-to-Revit import testing and validation
Identify and resolve geometry, organization, and interoperability issues
Coordinate closely with project leadership, lead modelers, and client-side BIM teams
Conduct clash detection and constructability reviews as required
Track and communicate technical risks, issues, and recommendations
Help maintain efficient production workflows across a large modeling team
Participate in technical reviews and production meetings throughout the engagement
Required Qualifications
Advanced proficiency in Rhino 3D
Strong working knowledge of Revit and BIM workflows
Demonstrated experience managing Rhino-to-Revit interoperability
Experience performing QA/QC on architectural, themed entertainment, experiential, fabrication, or large-scale design projects
Strong understanding of model organization, layer structures, naming conventions, and file management best practices
Ability to identify geometry issues that may impact downstream BIM workflows
Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting themed entertainment, attractions, museums, exhibitions, hospitality, retail, or immersive environment projects
Architectural, computational design, fabrication, or BIM coordination background
Experience with Grasshopper workflows
Familiarity with large-scale environment and scenic modeling pipelines
Experience coordinating work across multiple artists and disciplines
