POSITION SPECIFICS

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division 1 and Big Ten Conference Institution, is seeking a Director of Operations to support the Men's Gymnastics, Women's Gymnastics, Men's Golf, Women's Golf, Men's Tennis, Women's Tennis, and Men's and Women's Fencing programs under the general supervision of the Head Coaches of these sports. This is a non-coaching position which may coordinate the operational aspects of these programs including the following:

  • Assisting with video operations.
  • Overseeing the budget.
  • Coordinating class schedules.
  • Hiring and managing managers.
  • Managing apparel and equipment.
  • Coordinating Camps
  • Scheduling non-conference and tournament games.
  • Acting as a liaison to the Big Ten Conference and departments within Penn State Athletics including the Office of Compliance.
  • Compiling team related stats.
  • Planning, coordinating, and executing year-long travel plans.
  • Arranging team practice schedule.
  • Coordinating team community service activities.
  • Organizing all aspects of recruiting visits.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree 1+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $54,060.00 - $78,444.00.
