Familiarity with telehealth platforms, electronic documentation systems, and remote communication tools is typically required. Staying organized and responsive is key to ensuring effective care and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and colleagues.

What are Remote Direct Care Workers?

Remote Direct Care Workers are professionals who provide support, supervision, and assistance to individuals with disabilities, chronic illnesses, or age-related needs, but do so virtually rather than in-person. Using technology such as video calls, messaging apps, and remote monitoring tools, they help clients with daily living activities, medication reminders, emotional support, and connecting to community resources. This role is especially valuable for clients who prefer or need assistance from home, and it allows care workers to serve more people efficiently. While some tasks still require hands-on care, many supportive functions can be managed remotely, making this a growing field in telehealth and home care.
