Level: Senior
Department: AI Engineering
Location: Remote (US or Canada)
Rate: $165,000-$225,000 USD (rates vary in Canada)
Position Overview
As a Forward Deployment Engineer - AI, you will work directly with enterprise clients to design, build, deploy, secure, and operationalize AI-powered solutions in real-world environments. This is a high-impact engineering role for builders who thrive in ambiguity, move quickly, solve complex enterprise problems, and bridge executive conversations with hands-on implementation. The role focuses on helping customers move from AI pilots to secure, scalable production deployments using technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Graph, Power Platform, Microsoft Purview, Entra ID, AI agents, and custom AI applications.
Responsibilities
  • Deploy AI and agentic solutions into enterprise production environments.
  • Build enterprise-grade workflows, integrations, and custom AI applications.
  • Operationalize Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio use cases.
  • Implement secure AI data access patterns and support Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures.
  • Work directly with enterprise stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate workflows into AI-enabled solutions.
  • Lead rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept efforts.
  • Troubleshoot deployment and adoption issues in real time.
  • Conduct workshops, demonstrations, and architecture reviews.
  • Develop APIs, orchestration workflows, and integrations across platforms such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, SAP, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Dataverse, and Graph API.
  • Support AI governance and security initiatives by helping establish guardrails, runtime protections, observability, telemetry, and risk mitigation practices.
  • Contribute reusable deployment accelerators, solution kits, and feedback that help shape Cyclotron's AI deployment methodologies and go-to-market offerings.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, AI engineering, or enterprise solution delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Generative AI technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Graph API, REST APIs, identity and access management, and enterprise platform integrations.
  • Strong scripting or development skills in Python, C#, JavaScript or TypeScript, and PowerShell.
  • Experience deploying AI or automation solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with RAG architectures, AI agents, prompt engineering, workflow orchestration, and vector databases.
  • Understanding of AI governance, compliance, security concepts, and enterprise data protection practices.
  • Strong executive communication skills and the ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work directly with enterprise customers in fast-moving, ambiguous environments under tight timelines.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
  • Preferred experience with Microsoft Copilot deployments and Copilot extensibility.
  • Experience with Power Platform.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Security technologies such as Purview, Sentinel, Defender, and Entra.
  • Experience working with Fortune 500 clients or in professional services organizations.
  • Experience with AI observability, telemetry, and agent governance.
  • Microsoft certifications in Azure, Security, or AI are valuable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to switch between strategy and hands-on coding.
  • Takes ownership and understands both AI innovation and enterprise realities.
