Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and frequency of symptoms in clients suffering from mood disorders, creating a foundation for tailored treatment plans.
  • Partner collaboratively with clients in establishing personalized treatment goals, ensuring that their unique concerns and aspirations are at the forefront.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to implement effective treatment strategies.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, discussing treatment options, techniques for managing symptoms, and self-care practices.
  • Regularly monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans in collaboration with clients and other healthcare professionals.
  • Engage with psychiatrists and medical personnel, forging cooperative relationships to facilitate integrated and holistic care for each client.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of advancements in mood disorder research and treatment modalities to enhance your therapeutic approach.
  • Ensure all client documents, including assessments and treatment plans, are accurately maintained to meet ethical and legal standards.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing educational opportunities to continuously elevate your clinical skills.
  • Act as a client advocate, working towards the de-stigmatization of mood disorders and promoting mental health resources within the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be primarily focused on working with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. Your empathetic approach and tailored interventions will help guide clients toward recovery, resilience, and improved quality of life.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT within the state of California.
  • In-depth knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, particularly with mood disorders, such as CBT and DBT.
  • A solid understanding of psychopharmacology to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and healthcare coaches.
  • A proven track record of fostering positive outcomes for clients battling mood disorders.
  • Exceptional communication skills that facilitate rapport-building with clients from various backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience working directly with clients facing mood disorders.
  • Familiarity with remote therapy technologies and virtual patient engagement strategies.
  • Experience with community outreach programs that promote mental health awareness and resources.
