Clinical Pharmacist

Join our Shields team today! Shields Health Solutions is redefining patient care through health-system integrated specialty pharmacy. We're hiring a Clinical Pharmacist. Provide integrated support to patients and physicians by providing a "hands-on" approach to improve the quality of patient care. This is accomplished by developing personalized relationships with patients and prescribers to improve medication adherence and promote evidence-based care.

Location: Remote (Role supports a clinic in California)

Salary: An employee in this position who performs the job duties in California can expect a salary rate between $130,000 and $140,000 (Hourly Equivalent: Approximately $62.50 - $67.31 per hour, based on a 40-hour workweek.) plus bonus pursuant to the terms of an any bonus plan if applicable. The actual salary will depend on experience, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law.

An employee in this position who performs the job duties in any other state can expect a salary rate between $127,000 and $140,000 (Hourly Equivalent: Approximately $61.06 - $67.31 per hour, based on a 40-hour workweek.) plus bonus pursuant to the terms of an any bonus plan if applicable. The actual salary will depend on experience, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical reviews, monitor patient adherence, and recommend evidence‑based therapeutic adjustments to improve outcomes across oncology and other specialty disease states.

  • Lead daily workflow, ensure regulatory compliance, oversee support staff, resolve insurance and authorization barriers, and drive productivity and process‑improvement initiatives.

  • Deliver direct clinical interventions, coordinate with healthcare teams, contribute to protocol development and research, and maintain ongoing professional education to support high‑quality patient care.

What You Need:

  • Hold a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
  • Must be a licensed pharmacist in California
  • 1+ years experience as a clinical pharmacist (preferred)
  • Strong communication, organization, and tech skills
  • Empathy, integrity, and a team-first mindset
