CMM High-Risk Merchant Sales Specialist

What does a successful CMM High-Risk Merchant Sales Specialist do at Fiserv?

As a CMM High-Risk Merchant Sales Specialist within our Fintech division, you will drive growth by building strategic, C-suite relationships and acquiring high-value new clients. In this role, you will launch our H2 go-to-market campaign-integrating Acquiring, Risk Solutions, and StoneCastle deposits-to drive revenue growth across high-risk verticals. You will identify, consult, and onboard merchants both directly and through strategic partners by navigating complex compliance requirements and delivering complete merchant application packages.

What you will do:

  • Increase sales; build pipeline to achieve sales quotas and line of business sales objectives, revenue, decrease the overall spend, drive digital transformation with payments, core financial systems, data analytics

  • Deliver product solutions sales within their assigned verticals: commercial mid-market and achieve their sales quota

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders: Clients C-Suite executives, Finance, Treasury, HR, Security, Fraud, IT, marketing, and operations, product specialist, product management, pricing, compliance, risk

  • Maintain regular communication with clients, articulate the Fiserv value proposition and manage multiple opportunities through various sales stages

  • Create comprehensive client proposals: solutions, financial justifications, growth plans, budgets, project timelines, and expected results to secure business with maximum revenue and margin

  • Build detailed account plans for aspirational clients and new cross-sales opportunities; negotiate pricing and contract terms, and collaborate closely with relationship management

What you will need to have:

  • 10+ years of overall sales experience, with at least 6 years dedicated to high-risk merchant categories and payment verticals.

  • 6+ years of experience of successful new business generation and solution selling, with a deep understanding of market dynamics, challenges, trends, and operations

  • 6+ years of experience in virtual team setting; coordinate resources: account managers, solution consultants, and implementation service teams to meet client needs

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of work, education, and military experience

  • Experience in merchant services/payments sales, with a deep understanding of high-risk merchant profiles, risk factors, regulatory requirements, and compliance protocols.

  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), payment gateways, and risk management tools.

What would be great to have:

  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate risk profiles, paired with exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities.

  • Self-starter with a consistent history of meeting and exceeding ambitious sales targets.

  • Familiarity with Fiserv and former First Data product offerings, and the ability to execute the Fiserv Way of Selling, including our Expert Selling Force Management framework

  • MBA

Salary Range

$78,500.00 - $167,100.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in Massachusetts, California (excluding Sunnyvale) and District of Columbia. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
