How you will impact the organization...

As a Senior Financial Accountant at Consensus, you will serve a critical role in handling general accounting responsibilities, focusing primarily on expense and balance sheet accounts. Working in a manner fully compliant with internal controls, you are expected to take complete ownership of the accuracy and logical consistency of all assigned tasks.

  • Participate in monthly and quarterly close-related activities including the preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses.
  • Support the management of lease accounting schedules in compliance with ASC 842, including processing routine expirations, renewals, and period-end adjustments.
  • Maintain and update corporate debt schedules for various debt instruments and credit facilities, including tracking interest accruals and fee calculations, as assigned.
  • Oversee or support the fixed asset lifecycle, including capitalization reviews, depreciation tracking, roll-forwards, and retirement processing in accordance with corporate policy.
  • Prepare disclosure schedules for quarterly and annual financial filings.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including FP&A, Tax, Internal Audit, and Legal to streamline financial workflows and solve operational challenges.
  • Participate in departmental projects and initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested. Consensus reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

What you will bring to the table...

  • BA or BS in accounting or related discipline required
  • 2+ years of accounting experience under US GAAP
  • 1+ years of Cloud-based accounting software experience (Oracle Fusion is a plus)
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including experience using VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and pivot tables.
  • Deep understanding and practical application of accrual accounting principles under US GAAP.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to identify trends, anomalies, and root causes.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong project management skills.
  • Proficient in time management with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate financial concepts clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

The salary range for this role is $115,000 - $125,000 annually.  The total compensation package for this position is negotiable and may also include annual performance bonus, ESPP, enhanced time off packages and benefits.
