Overview
LMI seeks a Software Configuration Technician to support the U.S. Army's Holistic Health & Fitness (H2F) initiative as a member of the Software functional team within the H2F Program Support Team.
The Software Configuration Technician is responsible for supporting software configuration management, build coordination, version control, and release support for components supporting the Holistic Health and Fitness Management System (H2FMS). This role focuses on configuration control, documentation, and process support, ensuring software artifacts are properly tracked, documented, and released in alignment with Government direction.
This role does not perform independent software design or engineering and does not own configuration policy. All work is performed under TPM coordination and Government guidance.

Responsibilities
  • Support configuration management activities, including version control, baselining, and change tracking for software components.
  • Maintain configuration records and repositories in accordance with approved processes.
  • Assist with tracking configuration items and dependencies across software components.
  • Support coordination of software builds, packaging, and releases as directed.
  • Assist with preparation of release notes, change logs, and deployment documentation.
  • Coordinate with software engineers to ensure releases align with approved schedules.
  • Maintain configuration documentation, records, and artifacts required for Government review.
  • Support audit readiness by ensuring configuration records are complete and up to date.
  • Assist in preparing materials for reviews, demonstrations, or inspections.
  • Coordinate with software engineers, data teams, and analytics staff to support configuration-related needs.
  • Support TPM tracking of configuration-related tasks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Communicate configuration status and issues clearly to team members and leadership.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting software configuration management or technical support functions.
  • Familiarity with version control systems and basic software release processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting configuration management in a government or regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile or iterative development workflows.
  • Experience working with software engineering teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Prior experience supporting DoW or federal customers.

The target salary range for this position is up to -$130,000
