• Conduct thorough intake assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of clients and gather relevant personal history.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique challenges, goals, and preferences of each client.
• Facilitate a variety of therapeutic modalities, including individual therapy sessions, family counseling, and group therapy, to address diverse client needs.
• Continuously monitor and document clients' progress towards treatment goals, providing regular updates on their mental health journey.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Provide educational resources and support to clients' families, fostering understanding and engagement in the treatment process.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and stay abreast of current trends in mental health counseling to provide the best care possible.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York.
• A bachelor’s degree is required; however, a master’s degree or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in mental health counseling, showcasing your educational background and any specialized training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• A commitment to upholding confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in all practices.

• Previous experience working in a clinical or community health setting providing therapy to individuals or groups.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and techniques geared towards evidence-based practice.
• Experience with telehealth systems and virtual counseling platforms is highly desirable, enhancing your ability to connect with clients remotely.
