Marketing And Technology Agile Project Manager

One of The Sage Group's top clients is searching for a Marketing and Technology Agile Project Manager. The client is a leading technology company specializing in Internet-related services and products that include online advertising technologies, search, cloud computing, and software.

Role Overview

The MTO Agile Project Manager provides specialized Agile project management services to enable the execution of Marketing Technology & Operations (MTO) initiatives. This role focuses on facilitating scrum cycles, managing cross-functional project statuses, and ensuring operational excellence through data-driven reporting and clear team communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Communications
  • Lead and coordinate monthly OKR (Objectives and Key Results) reviews and related communications.
  • Manage quarterly intake and planning processes, leading into the development of roadmaps and high-level sprint plans.
  • Act as the primary custodian for all MTO team communications, including the production of quarterly and monthly newsletters.
  • Agile Ceremony Facilitation
  • Organize and facilitate essential scrum calls, including daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospective meetings.
  • Lead sprint planning sessions and sprint reviews on an agreed-upon cadence.
  • Ensure all meetings are productive, achieve their specific objectives, and include participation from relevant stakeholders.
  • Task Management and Execution
  • Update project tasks in real-time during scrum calls and manage offline task tracking throughout the week based on resource inputs.
  • Create new work items, such as bugs or tasks, ensuring proper hotlist tagging and component assignments.
  • Streamline the process for product activations within flagship communications.
  • Project Coordination and Reporting
  • Coordinate project statuses across multiple vendors to ensure timely completion and alignment with agreed-upon dates.
  • Compile sprint and velocity reporting across all MTO pods by the end of each sprint.
  • Validate report accuracy against task-flow numbers per pod and leverage automation tools like App-Scripts to streamline reporting processes.

Core Deliverables

The MTO Agile Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the following deliverables are original, accurate, and delivered by the relevant completion dates:

  • Sprint Backlogs: A well-refined and prioritized list of work for each sprint, incorporating stakeholder input.
  • Sprint Plans: Realistic and achievable sprint goals and plans, reviewed and signed off by MTO leadership.
  • Impediment Logs: Active identification, tracking, and resolution of obstacles hindering team progress.
  • Velocity Reports: Charts and reports communicating team capacity and progress over time.
  • Retrospective Action Items: Documented follow-through on improvements identified during retrospectives.

Preferred Qualifications

Proven experience in Agile project management and scrum facilitation. Technical proficiency in task management tools and automation (e.g., App-Scripts). Strong communication skills with experience in internal organizational newsletters. Ability to manage complex timelines involving multiple external vendors.

Duration: 6 months to start, plus strong extension potential

Location: 100% remote in USA, Pacific Hours a must

Compensation: $80-90hr
