Position Summary

We're seeking a Commercial Renewal Underwriter to manage and coordinate the renewal process for our commercial Property & Casualty (P&C) book of business.

Working directly with company leadership, you'll play a key role in ensuring renewals move efficiently from submission through binding. This position requires someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities while maintaining strong relationships with insurance carriers and retail agents.

Success in this role comes from anticipating needs, communicating effectively, and keeping business moving without constant direction.

Responsibilities
  • Manage an assigned renewal book of business.
  • Market accounts to insurance carriers.
  • Prepare renewal quotes and proposals.
  • Communicate with agents and carriers.
  • Ensure timely, accurate policy renewals.
  • Support client retention and growth.

What Weโ€™re Looking For
Required
  • 2โ€“5 years commercial Property & Casualty insurance experience
  • Experience with commercial renewals or account servicing
  • Working knowledge of core commercial lines coverages
  • Strong communication skills (especially email urgency and clarity)
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
Preferred
  • Exposure to E&S or wholesale brokerage
  • Experience working directly with insurance carriers
  • Prior agency or MGA experience
  • Insurance license (or willingness to obtain)
