  • Documentation: Issue clear, concise, and professional written plan review comments, correction lists, and compliance reports within the electronic review environment.
  • Code Interpretation: Serve as a technical resource on complex building code questions and stay updated on changing code cycles and local standards.
Required Qualifications amp; Certifications
  • Certifications: Must possess an active International Code Council (ICC) Commercial Combination Plans Examiner certification (or individual ICC commercial certifications in Building, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Energy Plan Review).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of dedicated experience performing commercial plan reviews for a municipality, county, or 3rd-party private provider firm.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex code deficiencies to diverse stakeholders diplomatically.
  • Workspace: A dedicated, quiet home office setup with high-speed internet capability suitable for handling large digital plan sets.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Software Expertise: Strong proficiency and direct experience completing professional plan reviews using Bluebeam Revu is highly preferred.
  • Master Code Professional (MCP) designation with the ICC is highly preferred and a major plus.
  • Prior experience reviewing projects specifically within the State of Texas or directly under City of Fort Worth local amendments.
