MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Costpoint Cognos Report Writer and General Ledger Business Analyst to join our team.
The Costpoint Cognos Report Writer / GL Business Analyst will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to support the company's financial transformation and Costpoint migration efforts, to include designing custom reporting solutions, translating complex business requirements, and optimizing our Costpoint Cloud environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Designing, developing, testing, and deploying custom reports, dashboards, and queries using IBM Cognos Analytics against the Deltek Costpoint database
  • Collaborating with finance, accounting, and leadership teams to capture, analyze, and document complex business reporting requirements
  • Ensuring data integrity and accuracy by thoroughly testing and reconciling report outputs against Costpoint GL balances
  • Applying a strong understanding of Costpoint 8.2 General Ledger functions to provide day-to-day production support and optimize GL processes
  • Troubleshooting and resolving system issues related to GL modules, reporting anomalies, and data structures within the Costpoint Cloud environment
  • Designing and delivering training sessions for end-users and junior analysts on how to navigate Cognos and build basic ad-hoc reports
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including data dictionaries, report specifications, user guides, and training manuals

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with +3 years of hands-on experience writing reports in IBM Cognos Analytics
  • Strong functional knowledge of Deltek Costpoint 8.2, with specific expertise in the General Ledger module and financial reporting
  • Strong proficiency in writing SQL queries to navigate backend database tables and validate data
  • Experience working across teams to manage multiple priorities and report development projects simultaneously
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and communicating complex technical and financial documentation

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working specifically within the Deltek Costpoint Cloud environment
  • Prior experience working within government contracting (GovCon) compliance environments (DCAA, FAR, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience in training, mentoring, or team-enablement capacity

Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $89,100.00-$148,200.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
