Your work hours will align with appointment schedules, accommodating both full-time and part-time availability.

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough patient intakes, performing diagnostic assessments and functional evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Providing brief, focused intervention sessions tailored to meet the specific mental health needs of your clients.
• Collaborating with primary care providers to recognize and manage mental health conditions, ensuring integrated care for patients.
• Implementing follow-up procedures to monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans based on evaluation outcomes.
• Developing relapse prevention strategies to help patients maintain stability in their lives.
• Documenting patient progress and maintaining accurate clinical records in compliance with agency standards and FQHC guidelines.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to enhance treatment approaches and share insights regarding patient care.
• Actively engaging in the education of patients regarding self-management and coping strategies related to their mental health and treatment compliance.
• Adhering to the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals, ensuring the highest standards in clinical practice.

You will be working with a diverse group of patients from various backgrounds, encompassing different age groups, cultural contexts, and mental health challenges. This role is particularly focused on individuals requiring support for emotional, psychological, and social issues, ensuring a comprehensive approach to mental health care. Your capacity to relate to clients empathetically and understandingly will greatly enhance their treatment experience.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a closely related field.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland.
• Strong knowledge of mental health assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic modalities, including DSM-IV diagnoses and behavioral therapy techniques.
• Proficiency in case management and documentation practices.
• Ability to collaboratively work within a primary care team to enhance patient outcomes.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills for effective engagement with patients and healthcare providers.

While not mandatory, the following experience is highly preferred:

• Familiarity with community resources and organizations to support patient referrals.
• Bilingual proficiency, particularly in Spanish, to better serve our diverse clientele.
• Previous experience in a telehealth counseling role or with a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 87,000–105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
