Position Overview:
The Assurance Manager will support the Professional Services team by conducting independent quality reviews, contributing to audit methodology enhancements, assisting with training initiatives, and supporting data-driven risk management decisions. This role is ideal for someone with strong audit expertise, conceptual thinking skills, and a desire to influence firm-wide quality initiatives in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent quality reviews for audits, AUPs, and SSARS (reviews, compilations, preparations) engagements to ensure consistent application of methodology and standards.
- Support strategic initiatives related to assurance methodology and quality management.
- Evaluate methodology changes and ensure compliance with industry standards and firm practices.
- Assist in gathering and analyzing data to identify risks and support resource allocation decisions.
- Participate in departmental initiatives and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- CPA certification required.
- Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience in audit and SSARS.
- Industry experience in government, single audit, not-for-profit, construction, or healthcare preferred.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills with sound judgment.
