Job description

Interim Chief Financial Officer Our client, a rapidly scaling technology company, is seeking an Interim Chief Financial Officer to provide executive-level financial leadership during a critical growth and capital-raising period. This position is fully remote, and the engagement has an expected duration of 3-6 months. Responsibilities: Provide executive-level financial leadership and continuity during a temporary CFO absence Support an active fundraising process, including diligence, investor discussions, and financial modeling Partner closely with the CEO and executive team on strategic decision-making, investment prioritization, and spend management Lead forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning to support rapid growth Establish and maintain financial guardrails as the business scales headcount and revenue Partner with go-to-market leadership on deal structuring across a range of customer segments Support partner-driven and complex revenue models with financial oversight and guidance Oversee the finance organization, ensuring leadership continuity across accounting and FP&A functions Support finance systems planning and operational scaling initiatives Assist with the preparation of board materials and executive financial reporting Requirements: Prior experience serving as a CFO or senior finance leader in high-growth technology companies Strong strategic FP&A background with experience supporting rapid scaling Experience supporting late-stage fundraising or significant capital events Deep understanding of subscription or recurring-revenue business models Proven ability to lead and influence executive teams in fast-paced environments Compensation: Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to: The individual’s skill sets, experience, and training; Licensure and certifications; Office location and other geographic considerations; Other business and organizational needs.
