Job description

ezCater is the #1 food tech platform for workplaces in the US. The company makes it easy for any organization to manage its food needs and order from over 125,000 restaurants nationwide. For workplaces, ezCater provides flexible and scalable solutions for everything from employee meal programs to one-off meetings, all backed by beyond helpful 24/7 service and business-grade reliability. For restaurant partners, ezCater helps grow their business by bringing them new high-value customers and large orders.
At ezCater, we care deeply about building experiences that our customers, caterers, and delivery partners love to use. We're looking for a Staff Product Designer to lead design across complex, high-impact product areas within our Restaurant Partner Experience organization: the part of ezCater focused on how our catering partners operate, fulfill orders, and succeed on the platform. As Staff Product Designer, Supply, you'll own design across meaningful projects end-to-end, working closely with dedicated Product and Engineering partners to move from problem definition to validated, shipped solutions. You bring a strong point of view, a flexible design process, and the ability to lead alignment across your cross-functional team.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead design independently across large, complex projects: owning the work end-to-end from discovery and framing through execution and iteration.
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape roadmaps and goals from the user's perspective, tying work to broader product and business outcomes.
  • Define how products and experiences connect and work together across your area, ensuring coherence across surfaces, users, and use cases.
  • Use data and research to drive decisions: define success metrics, partner with Research and Analytics to validate work, and socialize learnings across the team.
  • Raise the bar on craft by setting the quality standard for your area, documenting and socializing new patterns, and contributing to the design system.
  • Mentor and give regular, actionable feedback to designers around you, helping elevate the work across the team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional partners, bringing them along with clear storytelling and well-crafted artifacts.
  • Integrate AI thoughtfully into your design workflow, knowing when it accelerates quality and when it doesn't, and share effective approaches with your team.

What You Have:
  • 6+ years of experience as a product designer, UX designer, or similar role, with strong visual and interaction design skills.
  • A track record of owning large, multi-faceted projects independently, from problem framing through delivery, with clear accountability for design quality and business outcomes.
  • Experience shaping what teams work on, not just how it looks: moving pods from shipping tickets to solving clearly framed problems with measurable outcomes.
  • Deep, flexible command of the design process, with the ability to balance speed and quality based on scope and impact.
  • Strong storytelling and communication skills: able to tailor your message to the audience and present work with a clear narrative.
  • Experience designing for complex, multi-user experiences across multiple surfaces or touchpoints.
  • Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools include AI-first tools. You keep up with the latest tools and are willing to share your knowledge.
  • Experience designing with and contributing to a robust design system.
  • A detailed portfolio that showcases how you've tackled complicated, multi-stakeholder problems and the business and customer impact of your work.
  • Soft skills as well developed as your craft skills: you're thoughtful about how teams work together.
  • A sharp mind, a soft heart, and a large funny bone.
  • Ability to travel up to 5 days per quarter for Together Weeks, team gatherings and other events, when applicable.

The national total targetcash compensation range for this position, including base salary and bonus target, is $167,000 - $220,000 annually.*
*Please note: Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise and region & may vary from the amount above. This range does not represent additional compensation benefits (such as equity, 401K or medical, dental or vision insurance).
ezCater does not sponsor applicants for work visas or legal permanent residence.
What You'll Get from Us:
You'll get a terrifically compelling experience in an innovative, high performing environment. You'll get to work with engaged and passionate colleagues on challenging and impactful projects. You will have opportunities to grow in your career, and work in a place that values work/life harmony.
Oh, and you'll get all this: Market competitive salary, stock options that you'll help make worth a lot, 12 paid holidays, flexible PTO, 401K with ezCater match, health/dental/FSA, long-term disability insurance, mental health and family planning resources, remote-hybrid work from our awesome Boston office OR your home OR a mixture of both home and office, a tremendous amount of responsibility and autonomy, wicked awesome co-workers, employee meal program (and many more goodies) when you're in our office, and knowing that you helped transform the food for work space.

At the same time, we do not employ jerks, even brilliant ones. Following a conditional offer of employment, ezCater may require a background check.
