Job description

DIRECTOR OF MANUFACTURING FINANCE

ROLE OVERVIEW

As the Director of Manufacturing Finance, you will play a critical role in strengthening the financial performance, data integrity, and operational alignment across Kwik Lok's global manufacturing network. This role is accountable for the integrity, consistency, and timeliness of manufacturing financial reporting used by executive leadership to make decisions.

This role owns the finalization, validation, and decision-readiness of manufacturing financial results prior to CFO and executive review. You will ensure consistent, actionable, decision-grade reporting across all facilities; own the integrity of the manufacturing forecast; and drive alignment between sales, production, and financial expectations, resolving gaps across functions and locations as needed.

This is a key leadership role that reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and requires deep manufacturing finance expertise, executive-level judgment, strong systems and process leadership, and the ability to drive results across multiple sites. This position supports Kwik Lok production activities through the manufacture of Kwik Lok closures with a focus on continuous improvement of quality, food safety, and manufacturing processes.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS

Manufacturing Financial Operations & Consolidation

  • Own the integrity, timeliness, and finalization of financial reporting across all manufacturing plants, ensuring consolidated results are complete, accurate, and decision-ready for executive review
  • Establish and enforce standardized financial processes, policies, and output requirements across all locations to reduce variability and strengthen accountability
  • Own the review, validation, and final readiness of financial results before CFO and executive review, ensuring outputs are consistent, actionable, and decision-grade
  • Require correction of inconsistent, incomplete, or late plant financials and escalate unresolved gaps in quality, accuracy, or timeliness as needed

Cost Accounting & Operational Finance Leadership

  • Provide expertise in manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis
  • Partner with plant leadership to analyze operational performance and identify cost drivers, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of material, labor, and overhead costs
  • Support analysis of capital investments, equipment utilization, and operational efficiency

Cross-Functional Planning & Forecast Alignment

  • Own the integrity of the manufacturing financial forecast by aligning sales forecasts, production plans, and financial assumptions across functions
  • Ensure consistency between demand planning, production activity, capacity assumptions, and financial performance expectations across locations
  • Lead development of integrated manufacturing forecasts that reflect operational realities, business objectives, and executive planning needs
  • Drive resolution of disconnects between sales, production, and financial expectations, ensuring one aligned view for decision-making

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) & Systems Leadership

  • Lead efforts to optimize ERP financial modules and reporting capabilities to improve data accuracy, visibility, and efficiency
  • Ensure financial data integrity across systems, including validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution
  • Collaborate with IT and system administrators to enhance system functionality and resolve technical challenges
  • Drive automation and process improvements to streamline financial workflows and reduce manual effort

Financial Reporting & Close Process Improvement

  • Own the end-to-end monthly close discipline across all plants, including clear standards for what constitutes a complete close
  • Develop and enforce standardized reporting, dashboards, and KPIs that deliver consistent, decision-grade outputs for plant and executive reviews
  • Produce and communicate clear, actionable financial insights for plant leadership and executive stakeholders, with emphasis on decision support and performance management
  • Ensure financials are fully validated and complete before review, driving the elimination of post-close adjustments while maintaining compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies

Internal Controls, Compliance, and Data Governance

  • Establish and monitor strong internal controls across plant financial processes
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies
  • Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Promote accountability and discipline in financial processes at the plant level

Financial Analysis & Decision Support

  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support operational and strategic decisions
  • Translate financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for non-financial leaders
  • Support initiatives to improve profitability, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build strong working relationships with plant managers and cross-functional leaders while holding teams accountable to enterprise financial standards and reporting expectations
  • Drive adoption of consistent financial practices across plants, enforce reporting discipline, and intervene when plant-level execution does not meet required standards
  • Serve as a key finance leader to the CFO, owning manufacturing reporting readiness and supporting enterprise financial processes and initiatives
  • Foster a culture of accountability, standardization, and continuous improvement across the manufacturing finance organization

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Progressive leadership experience in finance or accounting within manufacturing environments, with the seniority to operate beyond a traditional single-site plant finance role
  • Demonstrated expertise in cost accounting, inventory management, and plant financial operations
  • Experience operating across multiple sites or business units with accountability for financial results, standardization, and consolidation
  • Strong ERP, systems, and process leadership capability, including improving reporting tools, controls, and end-to-end financial workflows
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve data integrity and process issues
  • Experience improving financial close processes and reporting timelines
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to produce and communicate executive-level financial insights from complex operational and financial data
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with operations, finance, and executive leadership
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and background screenings
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and financial drivers
  • Systems thinker with a focus on process standardization and continuous improvement
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and data integrity
  • Hands-on, proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to translate financial information into operational insights
  • Experience aligning demand, production, and financial plans within cross-functional environments (e.g., S&OP)
  • Comfortable challenging assumptions, enforcing standards, and driving accountability across teams and locations
  • High level of ownership, judgment, and follow-through in fast-paced, multi-site environments
  • Able to build trust across functions while communicating effectively with plant leaders, cross-functional partners, and executive leadership
