This role is primarily remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance that suits both professional and personal needs. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the psychosocial needs of clients and their families, developing tailored treatment plans that reflect their unique circumstances.
  • Engage in crisis intervention strategies, demonstrating expertise in managing cases involving substance abuse, domestic violence, trauma, and other mental health conditions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records, documenting patient medical and psychological histories, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes using electronic health record systems.
  • Educate and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to address clients’ psychosocial stressors and needs effectively, enhancing overall treatment outcomes.
  • Facilitate referrals to appropriate community-based services, ensuring clients have access to a full spectrum of support and resources.
  • Participate in regular supervision and professional development activities, contributing to case conferences and sharing insights on best practices in mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and families coping with various mental health challenges. Our clients often face complex issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, and trauma. The Mental Health Counselor will employ a client-centered approach, ensuring that each individual feels heard, supported, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field is required.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Oregon.
  • Proven ability to provide effective counseling services to a varied population, demonstrating a strong understanding of mental health principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, enabling effective collaboration within a remote team.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a remote or telehealth setting is a plus, although we will provide training to qualified candidates new to this environment.

Compensation and Benefits
