Capture Manager The BD/Capture Manager is expected to identify, qualify and win new business pursuits. They will work with the BD/Capture Team, Solution Architects, subject matter experts and Senior Leadership to cultivate and drive efforts to win new business opportunities. The BD/Capture Manager will be responsible for the full Business Development Life Cycle process supporting multiple simultaneous pursuits at various stages of maturity.

This individual is responsible for advancing critical opportunities through the pipeline through the development and execution of capture and win strategies while maintaining communication with leadership and adhering to governance milestones. The BD/Capture Manager will be responsible for qualifying opportunities, managing the win strategy, engaging with clients, proactively shaping the pursuit and ensuring all Pre-RFP work makes it into our proposal submissions. The ideal candidate will be part opportunity hunter, part relationship builder and part win strategist.

Tasks associated with this role will include opportunity assessment, client engagement, teaming analysis, competitive intelligence & assessments, marketing, capture planning, writing of white papers and request for information responses, win theme workshops and proposal development. The performance is focused on hands-on support and development of key capture and proposal artifacts from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have successfully won new business opportunities leveraging their unique BD/capture manager skill set.

Characteristics necessary for success include: the ability to gain internal support and the ability to establish and maintain a solid working relationship with technical staff, managers, and peers. The position requires excellent written and oral communication skills. Primary Responsibilities and Activities โ€ข Identification and assessment of opportunities โ€ข Development of comprehensive capture strategies (market research, competitive analysis, relationship building and solution development) โ€ข Development of effective win strategies (win theming, value proposition, persuasive messaging and risk identification and mitigation strategies) โ€ข Development and delivery of client engagement strategies โ€ข Perform market research to include customer preferences, competitive analysis and incumbent strengths and weaknesses.

โ€ข Coordinate and participate in meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop win strategy for specific opportunities. โ€ข Develop materials and read-ahead to support customer meetings, opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, win theme and discriminator workshops, proposal kickoff materials and proposal reviews. โ€ข Support writing of RFIs, proposals and white paper responses โ€ข Routine interaction with all Executive Leadership, Proposal Management, Business Development and solutioning teams.
