Work Environment

This remote position allows flexibility in your work schedule, enabling you to meet the varied needs of the students. You will engage with clients primarily in a school setting, providing them with the necessary support to thrive academically and emotionally. While most sessions occur during standard school hours, some evening and weekend availability will be essential to accommodate our students and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize your clinical knowledge and skills to conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments that guide treatment decisions.
• Collaboratively develop and adjust individualized treatment plans with patients, ensuring a patient-centered approach that addresses their unique needs and goals.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioral activation to foster positive behavioral changes.
• Work closely with other healthcare providers, including psychologists, primary care practitioners, and educational staff to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to student care.
• Regularly monitor and evaluate patient progress, systematically tracking treatment responses and making necessary adjustments to enhance outcomes.
• Assist with the management of psychotropic medications, focusing on treatment adherence, monitoring side effects, and discussing the effectiveness of med management with healthcare providers.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents enrolled in various educational programs. You will work alongside students who may be facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma. By addressing their mental health needs, you will empower them to succeed in school and develop the skills necessary for long-term personal and academic success.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
• Possession of a current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice independently as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Texas.
• Minimum of 1 year of direct clinical experience working as an independently licensed therapist, preferably in a school or educational setting.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working with children and adolescents, especially in educational settings, will be highly regarded.
• Familiarity with school mental health systems and ability to collaborate with educational staff is a plus.
• Proficiency in trauma-informed care and familiarity with best practices in child-adolescent therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
