Wellcure Mental Therapeutic Clinic is seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dedicated team. This position is primarily remote, with a focus on delivering intensive therapy assistance to clients either in their homes or at our outpatient clinic. Monthly team meetings help foster community and collaboration, enhancing both therapist satisfaction and patient outcomes.

• Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to each child's unique needs.
• Implement therapeutic strategies aimed at managing anger, developing coping mechanisms, and improving social skills, while addressing high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behaviors and physical aggression.
• Support decision-making processes for both adolescents and their caregivers, fostering effective communication and conflict resolution strategies within the home environment.
• Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and engage with various healthcare professionals to deliver a cohesive approach to therapy.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of treatment progress, including intake assessments and progress notes, ensuring compliance with state regulations and clinic policies.
• Participate actively in monthly meetings, sharing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement of patient care services.

As an LMFT at Wellcure, you will work with a diverse range of clients aged 3-20, predominantly children and adolescents with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Your role will be crucial in implementing therapeutic interventions that help these young individuals overcome challenges, enhance their social interactions, and achieve personal growth. Your ability to address specific client needs will directly contribute to improved emotional well-being and behavioral functioning.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license.
• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field.
• A minimum commitment of 5-10 hours per week, primarily available during after-school hours from 4-7 PM; weekend availability is a plus.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for travel to client locations or the clinic.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory before hiring.

• Hands-on experience providing positive behavior support, preferably in community settings.
• Prior experience working with children ages 3-20, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, will be highly regarded.
• Bilingual abilities in Spanish or Portuguese to facilitate effective communication with clients and their families.
