The Power BI Developer will work closely with the AIR Modernization team and stakeholders across multiple business domains to implement an enterprise analytics platform and deliver interactive dashboards, reports, and semantic models that enable informed decision-making. This position reports into the Technology Office.

This position offers hybrid work flexibility, requiring three days per week in AIR's Virginia office, with occasional travel for meetings, training sessions, and conferences.

About AIR:

  • Lead the design, development, and lifecycle management of Power BI solutions (semantic models, dashboards, and reports) across multiple business domains and the enterprise.
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into clear user stories, data definitions, and reusable reporting patterns.

  • Mentor junior BI developers and enable business users through training, best practices, and adoption support.
  • Stay current with Microsoft analytics platform capabilities and recommend enhancements that improve usability, reliability, and value.

  • Experience working in agile environments using tools such as Jira and Confluence, with a solid understanding of dimensional modeling, data quality, lineage, and endtoend data pipeline operations.
  • Experience using Microsoft Graph API for automation, integration, and advanced reporting scenarios is preferred, but not required.

Skills

  • Strong communicator able to engage senior leaders and both technical and nontechnical stakeholders, clearly conveying concepts, solutions, and tradeoffs.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with remote and geographically dispersed teams, fostering alignment and shared understanding.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in fastpaced environments, showing strong ownership, accountability, and attention to quality.
