Role: BI Lead
Location: Crystal City, VA(Hybrid)
Duration: Long term contract
 
Clearance: Secret
 
Requirements:
  • Lead and manage a team of BI analysts and developers, providing technical direction, mentorship, and performance oversight.
  • Provide direct technical support and hands-on BI reporting
  • Define and execute the BI strategy, roadmap, and standards for the program.
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize BI requirements aligned with mission objectives.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across all BI deliverables.
  • Create dashboards and track metrics based on the requirements and user feedback
  • Enable better BI reporting by leveraging AI, improving data quality and doing better data mapping
  • Work on executing various ETL processes and perform data preparation
  • Present BI findings, insights, and recommendations to senior government stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Qualification:
  • Bachelor''s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 7 years of business intelligence, 3 years of team leadership.
  • Experience with ETL tools such as AB Initio
  • Experience with Dashboard and Data Visualization tools – preferred Microsoft tools such as Power BI, Project Visio, etc.
  • Experience with reporting tools- preferred Oracle tools such as OBIA/OAP, OAS, and OBIEE.
  • Experience with relational databases – preferred is Oracle RDMS 19c
  • Demonstrated expertise in: BI leadership, data strategy, team management, stakeholder communication, and technical oversight.
  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance or be able to obtain one.
 
Desired:
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or equivalent BI certification.
  • Experience with Kibana is a plus
  • Experience with Kafka is a plus
  • Experience with GoAnywhere and Oracle Data Guard is a plus
  • Experience leading BI teams supporting DoD or federal agency programs.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL pipeline design.
  • Experience with Tableau, MicroStrategy, or similar enterprise BI platforms.
