As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of mental health concerns using standardized tools and personal interviews to determine the most appropriate treatment interventions.
• Developing individualized treatment plans that reflect the unique needs and goals of each client and adjusting these plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments.
• Providing consistent, evidence-based therapy sessions utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and other relevant therapeutic frameworks.
• Tracking and documenting client progress via our electronic health records system, ensuring all notes comply with legal and ethical standards.
• Facilitating skill-building workshops to empower clients in areas such as coping strategies, stress management, and interpersonal communication.
• Participating in regular team meetings for case consultations, sharing insights and strategies to ensure comprehensive care across disciplines.

You will work with a diverse client population that includes children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Your expertise will help these individuals navigate difficult life transitions and achieve their personal growth objectives.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• A valid California license as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC in good standing.
• At least two years of professional experience providing mental health counseling in a clinical setting.
• A strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and assessments.
• Proficient in technology, particularly with electronic health records systems, and possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred and would be advantageous for candidates:

• Experience in group therapy facilitation and mental health workshops.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices.
• Knowledge of local community resources and support networks that can be recommended to clients.
