What is a remote babysitter?

A remote babysitter is a caregiver who supervises and entertains children virtually through video calls or other online platforms rather than being physically present. They engage children with activities such as storytelling, games, virtual learning, or homework help while maintaining communication with parents. Remote babysitting is especially useful when in-person care isn’t possible, but it is best suited for older children who are safe to be home without direct adult supervision.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote babysitter, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Babysitter, you need experience in child supervision, basic knowledge of child development, and often a background in early childhood education or CPR/first aid certification. Familiarity with video conferencing platforms, online educational tools, and scheduling apps is typically required. Patience, creativity, and strong virtual communication skills help build trust and keep children engaged remotely. These competencies ensure children are safe, entertained, and supported in a virtual environment, giving parents peace of mind.

What are some common challenges faced by remote babysitters, and how can they be effectively managed?

Remote babysitters often face challenges like maintaining children's attention, managing screen fatigue, and ensuring safety from a distance. To address these, it's important to prepare engaging, age-appropriate activities and maintain regular communication with parents for updates on routines and preferences. Being adaptable and patient, as well as using creative virtual tools, can help create a positive and interactive environment for the children.

Direct Sales & Lead Generation - HVAC

On The Way AC LLC

Lutz, FL • Remote

Full-time

Job description

Direct Sales & Lead Generation – HVAC (Tampa / Lutz)

Earnings: $100,000+ Potential ($89 Per Tune-Up + 5% Uncapped Backend Commission) Role: 1099 Independent Contractor

Are you grinding in solar, roofing, or pest control, but sick of deals falling through or massive install delays?

At On The Way AC, we have a simpler, faster model. We are rapidly expanding our footprint in the Tampa/Lutz area and need experienced direct-sales professionals who aren't afraid to get in front of homeowners.

You don't have to close a $20,000 deal on the doorstep. Your only job is to book an $89 AC Tune-Up or Repair Service. That's the foot in the door.

From there, our expert technicians and design specialists take over to evaluate the home. When they identify failing equipment and the homeowner decides to upgrade, $10,000–$25,000 new system, you get paid out on the back end.

How You Get Paid (Pure Output): We structure this to highly reward producers. As an independent contractor, your income is tied entirely to your hustle:

  • $89 Per Tune-Up: You get paid $89 for every single tune-up or repair service you successfully book.
  • 5% Uncapped Backend Commission: You get 5% of the gross sale on anything our team closes from the leads you generate. (If a homeowner upgrades to a $15k replacement, that puts another $750 directly in your pocket just for booking the initial tune-up).
  • The Math: If you book just 3 tune-ups a day, you're making $267 for the day before any of those turn into $15k+ system replacements. Volume equals massive paydays.

What We Expect:

  • Experience: You must have previous experience in D2D, canvassing, or direct sales. We will teach you the HVAC industry, but we aren't going to teach you how to knock on a door and speak to people.
  • Autonomy: This is a 1099 contractor role. You are your own boss. No babysitting, no micromanaging. You bring the work ethic; we provide the backend infrastructure to help the homeowner and close your deals.
  • Reliability: You need reliable transportation, a smartphone, and the grit to handle the daily grind of neighborhood marketing.

Why On The Way AC? We don't want order takers. We want hungry professionals who want a lane where performance actually matters and income isn't capped by corporate red tape. You set the appointment, we bring in the experts, and you get a cut of all of it.
This is a Remote (work from home) position.
