Remote Biohacking information

What is a remote biohacking?

A Remote Biohacker is someone who uses technology, science, and self-experimentation to optimize health, performance, or well-being, often working from home or outside traditional laboratory settings. This can involve tracking biological data, experimenting with supplements or routines, and using wearable devices. Remote biohackers may collaborate with online communities, share data, and use digital tools to monitor and improve their biology. The goal is to enhance quality of life or achieve specific health outcomes without direct supervision in a professional lab.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote biohacker?

To thrive as a Remote Biohacking Specialist, you need a solid understanding of biology, physiology, and health optimization, often supported by a relevant degree in life sciences or health and wellness certifications. Familiarity with wearable technology, data analysis tools like Excel or specialized biohacking apps, and tracking systems is typically required. Strong analytical thinking, self-motivation, and excellent communication skills make someone stand out in this position. These skills ensure the ability to interpret biometric data, implement effective interventions, and provide actionable insights to clients remotely.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working in remote biohacking roles?

Professionals in remote biohacking roles often face challenges such as staying up-to-date with the latest scientific research, maintaining effective communication with distributed teams, and ensuring personal data privacy when experimenting with new tools or protocols. Working remotely can also require strong self-motivation and discipline, as much of the work involves self-directed experimentation, data analysis, and collaboration with experts in different time zones. Building a strong network within the biohacking community can help overcome these challenges and provide valuable support and resources.

Job description

Join BioHackHaus as Our Head of People & Operations

Are you ready to build something extraordinary from the ground up? BioHackHaus, an innovative biohacking company breaking into multiple markets, is looking for a driven and visionary Head of People & Operations to help us scale from a small founding team into a thriving organization. If you thrive in ambiguity, love creating systems from scratch, and have a passion for people and operations, this is your chance to make a lasting impact.

About the Role

As our first Head of People & Operations, you'll be a key architect of our company's growth. This is not a role where you'll inherit existing playbooks—you'll be writing them. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing the foundational systems, processes, and culture that will enable our team to operate at its best. From hiring and onboarding to organizational design and operational excellence, your work will touch every corner of BioHackHaus.

What You'll Do
  • Design and lead our hiring process: Manage sourcing, create interviewing frameworks, draft offer letters, and oversee onboarding.
  • Build our people foundation: Establish performance reviews, 1:1 cadences, compensation philosophies, and career pathways.
  • Develop our operating system: Oversee weekly leadership meetings, quarterly planning, RACI documentation, and tool selection.
  • Partner with leadership: Work closely with the CEO and cofounder to align strategy with organizational design and staffing plans.
  • Ensure HR compliance: Manage HR policies, I-9s, benefits administration, and employee relations for a Texas-based company.
  • Coach managers: Help managers transition from individual contributors to effective team leaders.
  • Manage vendor relationships: Oversee benefits, payroll, and HR tech vendors.
  • Support workplace setup: Lead the transition from remote to hybrid work in Q4, including office setup and workplace experience.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience: 6+ years in People, HR, or Operations roles, with at least 2 years at an early-stage company (Seed to Series B).
  • Builder mindset: Proven track record of creating people functions and systems from scratch.
  • Comfort with ambiguity: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, undefined environment.
  • Operational expertise: Strong instincts for creating systems like RACIs, meeting cadences, and clear ownership structures.
  • Knowledge of Texas employment law: Familiarity with compliance basics.
  • Coaching skills: A supportive mindset for developing managers and individual contributors.
  • Excellent written communication: Ability to document processes and systems effectively.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience in wellness, hospitality, health, or premium consumer brands.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.
  • Prior experience managing office setups or workplace design.
