• Conduct crisis assessments for individuals experiencing acute mental health emergencies, using established protocols and clinical judgment.
• Provide immediate support and counseling to clients in distress, addressing both crisis situations and underlying mental health issues.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency response teams to ensure client safety during interventions.
• Develop individualized crisis intervention plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances, enhancing their chances of recovery.
• Implement effective de-escalation techniques to manage high-tension situations and facilitate constructive dialogue.
• Engage in continuous professional development by participating in training related to crisis counseling and trauma-informed care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of client interactions in accordance with ethical and legal standards.

This role centers on providing vital support to individuals grappling with addiction and related mental health crises. • A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) designation.
• A minimum of three years of relevant experience in crisis intervention and mental health counseling, specifically focusing on addiction therapy.
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based crisis intervention techniques and de-escalation strategies.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills necessary for building rapport with clients.
• Strong ability to conduct rapid assessments and implement crisis intervention plans.
• Thorough understanding of ethical and legal standards applicable to mental health counseling.

• Additional training in trauma-informed care or specialty certifications related to mental health issues.
• Experience in working with multicultural populations and an understanding of systemic barriers to care.
• Proven track record in crisis counseling within emergency settings.

Avis Behavioral Health Center offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise, along with opportunities for salary adjustments as your skills and contributions grow.
