• Conduct thorough and comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health concerns. This includes formulating accurate clinical diagnoses and developing tailored treatment plans that incorporate clients’ goals and aspirations.
• Deliver individual, couples, and family therapy using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other recognized therapeutic approaches.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support to clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, facilitating access to necessary resources and referrals as needed.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records that comply with HIPAA regulations, including documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, engaging with psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals to coordinate comprehensive care tailored to clients' needs.
• Educate clients and their families on mental health challenges, treatment options, and community resources available to them while advocating for their needs and rights.
• Stay updated on current trends, research, and best practices within mental health therapy, actively participating in professional development and workshops.

The clientele at Avis Counseling Center is diverse, encompassing individuals of various age groups and backgrounds, each presenting unique mental health challenges. From those grappling with anxiety and depression to families navigating relationship issues, our counselors address a wide range of concerns, ensuring that each treatment plan is customized and effective. We place a significant emphasis on cultural competency and sensitivity, allowing our therapists to engage effectively with clients from different cultural contexts.

• A valid license to practice as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW) in the state of Nevada.
• A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a closely related field; a Master's or Doctoral degree is preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic skills, and the capacity to work independently.
• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a therapeutic alliance with clients and collaborating effectively with team members.
• A commitment to ethical practices and high professional standards in all facets of therapy.

• While not required for entry-level positions, experience in a clinical setting will be preferred, particularly within community health environments.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual therapy practices is advantageous given the remote nature of this role.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a signing bonus upon hiring.
