Job description

This position is based at our Northshore location (2077 Town Center Blvd in Knoxville). It follows a hybrid/remote schedule (in the office 2 days/week). The deadline to apply for this opportunity is June 17, 2026.
Job Summary: The Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and processing duties to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant mortgage loan file completion. This role supports the end-to-end loan process by collecting, verifying, organizing, and preparing all necessary documentation while maintaining clear communication with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Loan File Preparation & Documentation: Collects, reviews, and prepares mortgage loan documentation including applications, credit reports, appraisals, income/asset documents, and other supporting materials. Verifies the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all documents in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Processing & Data Management: Inputs, updates, and maintains all required loan data, records, and transactions within designated systems. Tracks and monitors loan milestones, deadlines, and required follow-up items to ensure timely progression of files.
  • Compliance & Quality Control: Ensures all loan files meet federal, state, and investor guidelines, as well as company policies and procedures. Prepares and submits required regulatory reports accurately and within designated timeframes.
  • Communication & Support: Responds to inquiries from loan officers, underwriters, customers, and other stakeholders regarding loan status and documentation needs. Collaborates closely with internal teams to address outstanding conditions and ensure smooth loan processing.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Work Experience: minimum 1 year experience in mortgage processing, lending operations, or in a related administrative role is required.
Education: high school diploma or GED is required. An Associates degree in a business related field is preferred.
Other skills required:
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to verify complex financial and personal documentation.
  • Proficiency with mortgage processing systems and general office software.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
